Success!

I'm considering today a success, even though it's only 10:15 am. Ava (and consequently I) slept from 10:30 pm until 3:30 am and then again from 4:30 am until 6:30ish so I'm feeling fairly rested. She also napped once already this morning which means I've actually showered and brushed my teeth already today!

Seriously, how do people with babies make it anywhere on time in the morning? The few times so far we've had to be at the doctor's at a certain time, I've started preparing 2 hours in advance. Gone are the days of getting ready and running out the door in under an hour.

I swear that was why I barely left the house for the first month (or two). You're probably tired of hearing this, but it does get easier.

Is it not insane? I'm never on time any more and I hate it. Fortunately most of my girlfriends have small children too and totally get it.

Congratulations again.

Lucky! I haven't had more than 2 straight hours sleep yet. He just took a marathon nap and of course I spent the whole time doing household chores instead of napping like I should have. ugh.

Carabee- I learned my lesson after our doctor's appointment last Sat. at 9:40 am. I'm only making commitments for the afternoon if I can help it.

Marianne- I was pretty good about being on time pre-baby. I guess it's just one more thing that's going to change now. Thanks again!

Fluffy- Ava has been taking one long morning nap and every morning I think "Today is the day I'm going to nap too" and then I start a load of laundry, check blogs, check the DVR, etc. I hope Edwin lets you get a few hours in a row soon!
